Houston: What To See
Posted in Travel Destinations on 21. Nov, 2009
Houston is a bussling city, the largest city, in the great state of Texas. There is plenty to see and do here, with something to offer the whole family. But if you have kids, one thing you really can’t miss is the Space Center.
There is Blast Off Theater, a theater suitable for all ages, where you can experience what its like to lift off, or to be in mission control. You can put on a visor and experience a space shuttle depart the station. You can witness a brief history, back to Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon. All projected on a screen that is five stories high.
But it’s more than just something for kids. The Feel of Space gives you an idea of what it would be like to sleep, work, and live in space. Experience what it would be like to be a real astronaut with your day to day life in space. You can experience landing an orbiter, retrieving a satellite, or exploring the shuttle.
The Space Trader lets you shop for unique souvenirs to take home along with the memories you’ve made. Don’t forget to try the astronaut ice cream!
