Lovely Spain

Many people think of bullfights and flamenco dancers when they think about Spain. This country is certainly diverse with its north section resembling the green rolling hills of Ireland and the south offering the taste of Moroccan landscapes.  It is the prehistoric cave paintings that tell about its tremendous history along with the crumbling castles, Roman ruins, Moorish palaces as well as the distinctive modern architecture. Spain has many kingdoms with regions and languages as well as art and cuisines that make it unique.  They include: Valencia, Castilla Leon, Catalonia, Basquie Country and Aragon to name just a few. The beaches of Spain are excellent and quiet. In the south you can find them near Malaga, Almeria and Huelva and also near the coasts of Galicia, Cantabria and Euskadi.

If you are in that group of people who enjoy the well developed resort towns then you won’t have any trouble finding them here. You can absorb the sun an plenty of crowded beaches on the Costa de la Luz as well as Costa del Sol. For those want to take a ferry trip out to the islands off the coast, you will have many choices as to which island and what you want to find. The island of Ibiza is the party island and so many who like the nightlife will take many Ibiza holidays. If you have a family with you and are looking for more of a resort type of vacation, then look into a visit to Majorca. If the island are not for you, then how about getting some fresh air with Spain’s wildlife parks and trekking. If this sounds like your cup of tea, then head to the Pyrenees to do some great trekking. The hills around the Aragon area are the best for this and in the winter time the mountains near Granada offers luxurious skiing resorts. It is possible to ski from November through the month of May. If you are in one of the big cities like Barcelona or Madrid, then know that the Spanish people are communicative and open hearted. Also in these towns you can attend a football match or rent a car to discover Spain on your own terms. Seville offers amazing beauty to both locals as well as tourists and here you can find economical accommodations.
